A Surrey residence was shot up on early Tuesday morning which Surrey RCMP say was not intended for the current occupants of the home but shooters were targeting the previous owner. On February 1 at 2:47 a.m., Surrey RCMP received multiple reports of shots fired in the 8600-block of Tulsy Crescent East. Surrey RCMP Frontline officers attended the area and located a residence and vehicles parked in the driveway that were damaged as a result of the shooting. No injuries were reported. Surrey RCMP said they are aware of a video that has been circulating on social media in regards to this incident. On Tuesday afternoon, there was a video circulating on many whatsapp groups threatening Vancouver-based singer Karan Aujla with death and physical harm from some Chatha Group and other unknown individuals. The video text message also had someone shooting up a car in a driveway in the thick of night with a written note in Punjabi of the aforementioned death threats. It is not known whether it is the same video that the Surrey RCMP mentioned above or whether this incident is related to the video of death threats to Aujla, who has risen high in the Punjabi music world with hit songs and big music videos of songs about the usual male bravura that has made other similar acts like Sidhu Moosewala and Elly Mangat renown for infamy.
