With the federal election winding down with a big bang ending on Monday, April 28, can the Mark Carney led Liberals hold on to the lead in the polls and win a majority or as many believe it’s a tight election that could produce a minority government again either for Liberals and Conservatives. A couple of key Surrey ridings heatedly contested by incumbent Liberals MPs Sukh Dhaliwal, Randeep Sarai and the former Liberal MP Ken Hardy’s Fleetwood Port Kells now led by Luke-warm candidate Gurbax Saini will be key to Liberals winning a majority.

With the federal election winding down with a big bang ending on Monday, April 28, can the Mark Carney led Liberals hold on to the lead in the polls and win a majority or as many believe it’s a tight election that could produce a minority government again either for Liberals and Conservatives. 

A couple of key Surrey ridings heatedly contested by incumbent Liberals MPs Sukh Dhaliwal, Randeep Sarai and the former Liberal MP Ken Hardy’s Fleetwood Port Kells now led by Luke-warm candidate Gurbax Saini will be key to Liberals winning a majority. 

DESIBUZZCanada crew visited the offices of both Dhaliwal and Saini and obviously Dhaliwal is a giant and has a big lead over Conservative opponent Harjit Gill and it goes without saying that Dhaliwal will again be in the winner’s circle.

We asked Dhaliwal that if his party again forms government, will he be finally be in cabinet and he said he was already formally offered and he turned it down.

“You know that I love politics and I love my community so I’m not interested in cabinet as my time is better spent in the community , attending events and doing the community’s work in whatever way I can,” Dhaliwal told DESIBUZZCanada.

Newcomer Saini, who did not impress the gathered crowd with his musings, is also enjoying Liberal upswing in his riding with an equally big lead over Conservative Sukh Pandher. 

These two seats where Dhaliwal and Saini lead in the polls should be a lock for Liberals while Sarai is fighting hard against upstart Conservative Rajvir Dhillon in what polls say is a toss-up for both leading parties. 

Sarai will have to work harder to keep his seat in that drive for Liberal majority. 

Election is much closer than polls say so let’s see what surprises and shocks are in store for Canadian voters!
