Someone Tried To Burn Down Fruiticana Store At 80th And 120th In Surrey

We hope it isn’t steep prices at grocery stores but someone tried to burn down the big Fruiticana store located at 80th and near 120th street in Surrey. On January 25, at approximately 12:05 am, Surrey Police Service (SPS) members attended the 12000 block of 80 Avenue regarding a fire at a business (Fruiticana store). Surrey Fire Services attended and extinguished the fire.

SURREY – We hope it isn’t steep prices at grocery stores but someone tried to burn down the big Fruiticana store located at 80th and near 120th street in Surrey.

On January 25, at approximately 12:05 am, Surrey Police Service (SPS) members attended the 12000 block of 80 Avenue regarding a fire at a business (Fruiticana store). Surrey Fire Services attended and extinguished the fire. 

There was minor damage to the Fruiticana store as a result of the fire.

SPS Frontline Investigative Support Team (FLIST) attended the scene and are assuming conduct of the investigation. While the motive for the incident is still under investigation, at this time it is believed to be an arson.

The incident is still under investigation.

Anyone with information about this incident, including CCTV or dashcam footage, or who may know the identities of the suspects is asked to contact SPS’ non-emergency line at 604-599-0502, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca and quote file number 26-8161 (SP).
