SURREY – Global Peace Alliance BC Society’s mission is to bring mutual understanding, respect and acceptance among all the diverse people of British Columbia. Our educational and advocacy activities promote respect and love for one another. Our literary (prose, poetry, drama) and visual arts (drawing, painting, photography, video, sculpting) contest engages all ages, divided into four age groups: 5-12 years, 13-17 years, 18-64 years, and 65 years or more. 

The theme this year is End Racism, Make Peace. We want everyone to share their ideas on how to end systemic racism and heal our planet from conflict. Love, friendship, family, forgiveness, kindness, equality, antiracism, anti-discrimination. demilitarization, all are essential for human survival.

All participants receive a Certificate of Appreciation, and the best three in each art category in each age group also receive a cash prize and a trophy.

 This recognition will take place on October 1st at the GPA Peace Festival, at the Bell Centre of Performing Arts. Art, is a universal language that can unite people and we are excited to involve you to become peacemakers today. We at this time invite artists, other peace, cultural, community groups to participate in our festival and become members and/or volunteers.
