Defamation Lawsuit Also Names Former PICS Board Member Dave Hans And Punjabi Radio Outfit Media Waves
The Progress Intercultural Community Society (PICS) has been embroiled in a targeted media war by local Punjabi radio outfit Media Waves and it’s hosts Ashiana Khan and Kuljeet Kaur and it’s former board member Dave Hans in which PICS describes as defamatory propaganda. Now it’s serving notice to all the alleged defamatory parties by launching a civil claim in the Supreme Court of BC. “PICS Society has filed a Notice of Civil Claim in the Supreme Court of British Columbia against Media Waves Live, Ashiana Khan, Dave Hans, and Kuljeet Kaur, amongst other Defendants . The claim aims to recover damages from the Defendants and to stop the publication of any defamatory materials about PICS Society, its Board of Directors, and its employees,” PICS said in a press release sent out by Ranbir Manj, the Society’s Board Chair.

Now it’s serving notice to all the alleged defamatory parties by launching a civil claim in the Supreme Court of BC.
“PICS Society has filed a Notice of Civil Claim in the Supreme Court of British Columbia against Media Waves Live, Ashiana Khan, Dave Hans, and Kuljeet Kaur, amongst other Defendants . The claim aims to recover damages from the Defendants and to stop the publication of any defamatory materials about PICS Society, its Board of Directors, and its employees,” PICS said in a press release sent out by Ranbir Manj, the Society’s Board Chair.
“The Defendants have been maliciously attacking PICS Society’s reputation for two years, and we hope to utilize the legal process to clear PICS Society’s reputation in British Columbia. We have full trust in the robust legal system in British Columbia to clear the name of PICS Society, its Board of Directors, and its employees,” the press release said.
“We are overwhelmed by the response we are receiving from the community in our quest for justice and the fight against motivated and vicious attacks against the PICS Society.”
