Richmond’s Highway to Heaven (aka #5 Road) is home to almost 25 places of worship representing nearly every major religion of the world. Consequently, it is a favourite place to visit by various groups. On Thursday, June 8, 12 diplomats representing most of the countries in South East Asia, visited this l special stretch of #5 Road to learn about various religions and their mutual co-operation. As part of their visit they also visited India Cultural Centre of Canada Gurdwara Nanak Niwas. On behalf of the Gurdwara management committee it was a great honour for me to welcome them, show them around and give a brief talk about Sikhism and the South Asian community. The diplomats enjoyed their visit and thanked the Gurdwara management for a very warm welcome.
