Liaqat Ali Bajw, a pioneering member of the local Pakistani-Canadian community, has passed away. “It is with great sadness that we have learned about the passing of Liaqat Ali Bajwa from this world to the next,” wrote Haroon Khan on facebook Sunday. Bajwa served as President of Pakistan Canada Association multiple times and as a Director and he was a Lifelong Trustee of Al Jamia Masjid Vancouver, who was a driving force in his community for many decades.

SURREY – Liaqat Ali Bajw, a pioneering member of the local Pakistani-Canadian community, has passed away.
“It is with great sadness that we have learned about the passing of Liaqat Ali Bajwa from this world to the next,” wrote Haroon Khan on facebook Sunday.
Khan, who is President Emeritus Pakistan Canada Association and Trustee ofAl Jamia Masjid Vancouver, said uncle Liaqat served as President of Pakistan Canada Association multiple times and as a Director and he was a Lifelong Trustee of Al Jamia Masjid Vancouver, who was a driving force in his community for many decades.
Bajwa served alongside Khan’s Father Riasat Ali Khan and was a brother, Uncle and Mentor to so many in the local Pakistani community for generations.
Bajwa is described as a tireless advocate for Pakistan, Canada and all peoples and at home as a loving Husband, Father, Uncle and Grandfather to his family.
“His wit, charm and generosity of spirit will be forever remembered and honoured by all,” Haroon Khan said. “May Allah SWT forgive, accept and grant him beautiful place in Jannat il Firdouz – Paradise and give Sabr – Patience to his family, loved ones and all community to bear this irreplaceable loss.
Bajwa’s Janazah and Funeral Details will be announced shortly, Khan said.
