Extortion Shootings Continue In Surrey As Punjabi Insurance Broker Targeted

Extortion shootings continue in Surrey as the latest victim is a well known Surrey insurance broker whose South Surrey house was shot up twice in a few days this week. Surrey Police Service (SPS) and RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) said shots were fired at a Surrey residence but did not identify the victim but social media has identified the victim as the owner of a big insurance firm in Surrey. At approximately 7:35 pm on November 12, 2025, RCMP SPOSU officers responded to calls of possible shots fired at a residence located in the 17000 block of 32 Avenue, Surrey. This is the second time this address has been targeted, and the incident is extortion related. No injuries occurred as a result of the incident, police said.

SURREY – Extortion shootings continue in Surrey as the latest victim is a well known Surrey insurance broker whose South Surrey house was shot up twice in a few days this week.

Surrey Police Service (SPS) and RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) said shots were fired at a Surrey residence but did not identify the victim but social media has identified the victim as owner of a big insurance firm in Surrey.

At approximately 7:35 pm on November 12, 2025, RCMP SPOSU officers responded to calls of possible shots fired at a residence located in the 17000 block of 32 Avenue, Surrey. 

This is the second time this address has been targeted, and the incident is extortion related. No injuries occurred as a result of the incident, police said.

RCMP SPOSU General Investigation Unit (GIU) has taken conduct of the investigation. The investigation is in its early stages and investigators will be continuing to gather evidence related to the shots fired, including liaising with police partners to determine if there are any links to other files.

Anyone with information about this incident, or the identities of the suspects, or has CCTV or dashcam footage, is asked to contact the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 25-62774 (SU).
