CALGARY – An Indo-Canadian man is among four people charged in a drug trafficking investigation after our Gun Violence Enforcement Team (GVET) became aware of suspicious activity occurring in the northeast community of Castleridge, Alberta.

Ricky Singh Gill, 36, of Chestermere, Alta, is among the alleged criminals facing numerous charges.

In early January 2025, our officers received information about a suspect who was believed to be breaching his court-imposed conditions, in possession of prohibited weapons and conducting activity consistent with drug trafficking at his residence.

An investigation was launched, and on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, search warrants were executed on a residence located in the 100 block of Castlebrook Way N.E., and a white 2011 Dodge Ram, believed to be associated to the suspect.

At the time, four individuals were taken into custody, and the search resulted in drugs and multiple weapons being seized, including:

*A Remington 870 shotgun 

*An altered Remington 870 shotgun

*A Mossberg International .22-calibre rifle

*Shotgun ammunition

*Approximately 435 grams of methamphetamine worth an estimated $3,500

*Approximately 26 grams of Fentanyl worth an estimated $700

*Approximately 27 grams of cocaine worth an estimated $1,500

*Buffering agents

*A stolen Surron e-motorcycle

A safe attached to the undercarriage of the Dodge Ram containing an additional 41 grams of crack cocaine worth an estimated $2,500 and approximately 8 grams of Fentanyl worth an estimated $300. 

Two men and two women were charged with a combined total of 68 offences related to firearms, drug trafficking, possession of stolen property and breach of conditions.

Richard Joseph Lengkeek, 36, of Calgary, is charged with 28 offences.

Kyla Dawn Martin, 26, of Calgary, is charged with 13 offences.

Ricky Singh Gill, 36, of Chestermere, Alta, is charged with 12 offences.

Freedom Marina Ann Goforth, 29, of Calgary, is charged with 15 offences.

The four individuals appeared in court Wednesday, Jan. 22.
