India Cultural Centre of Canada Gurdwara Nanak Niwas, 8600 # 5 Road, in Richmond paid tribute to the four Sahibzadas on Sunday, December 22. A large number of devotees joined the management committee of the Gurdwara in order to pay tribute to Sahibzadas Baba Ajit Singh and Baba Jhujar Singh who gave up their lives while fighting the huge Mughal Army at the Garhi Chamkaur Sahib in 1704. In the same month of December, 1704, the younger Sahibzadas Baba Joravar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh in order to protect their faith sacrificed their lives in Sarhand . This month brings back very sad and unfortunate memories of these tragedies. The Kirtani Jatha of the Gurdwara moved the congregation with their kirtan and katha. Secretary Balwant Sanghera thanked the Gianis, sevadars and the congregation for paying a very fitting tribute to the Sahibzadas on this occasion.
