In an emotional conversation, Vancouver’s Jewish and Muslim Faith Leaders shared their concerns about the impact the conflict in the Middle East is having on communities here in Canada. Recognizing their different perspectives, these leaders committed to working together and supporting one another in common cause against the sharp rise in Antisemitism and Islamophobia here in Canada and to building bridges to unite communities at this difficult time.

“Coming together across our differences is the most powerful tool in building the Canada we want. Jewish and Muslim Leaders came together united against hate – and toward building and strengthening ties between communities. Understanding and partnership is essential today and for the future” – Taleeb Noormohamed, Member of Parliament for Vancouver Granville and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage

These remarkable Faith Leaders committed today, and every day, to stand together against Islamophobia and Antisemitism, and to work within their respective communities to foster understanding and to build bridges that unite us.
