Summer heat is bringing back gangland killings and shootings galore with the latest in the South Asian dominated Newton area of Surrey. On July 28, at 03:14 a.m., Surrey RCMP received a report of shots fired at a residence in the 8300-block on 142A Street. Frontline officers attended the area and spoke with a homeowner who discovered bullet holes in the exterior of their residence. No one was injured as a result of this shooting.

SURREY –Summer heat is bringing back gangland killings and shootings galore with the latest in the South Asian dominated Newton area of Surrey

Surrey RCMP is advising the public of an incident of shots fired at a residence in Newton and asking anyone with information to contact police.

On July 28, at 03:14 a.m., Surrey RCMP received a report of shots fired at a residence in the 8300-block on 142A Street. Frontline officers attended the area and spoke with a homeowner who discovered bullet holes in the exterior of their residence. No one was injured as a result of this shooting.

Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit has taken conduct of the investigation, which is in the early stages. The motive of this shooting has not yet been determined.

Residents in the area can expect to see police canvassing for CCTV footage and additional witnesses.
