Just a day after a shooting in the Guildford area left a 19-year-old injured and sent to hospital, another shooting in the Newton area of Surrey Thursday evening left another man with similar results. On March 24, 2022, at about 7:17 PM Surrey RMCP responded to a report of shots fired in the 12600 block of 72nd street. Police attended and located evidence consistent with a shooting. A male victim with non-life threatening injuries was located. The male was transported to local hospital.

SURREY – Just a day after a shooting in the Guildford area left a 19-year-old injured and sent to hospital, another shooting in the Newton area of Surrey Thursday evening left another man with similar results.
Surrey RCMP is investigating confirmed shots fired in the Newton area.
On March 24, 2022, at about 7:17 PM Surrey RMCP responded to a report of shots fired in the 12600 block of 72nd street. Police attended and located evidence consistent with a shooting.
A male victim with non-life threatening injuries was located. The male was transported to local hospital.
Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit has taken conduct of the investigation.
The investigation is in the early states, but all indications are that it was targeted.
