There are shootings galore in the Surrey-Delta area with three recent shootings leading to serious injuries to the victim, some of whom are not expected to survive, according to police. Surrey RCMP attended the aftermath of a shooting that happened Thursday in the District 1 (Whalley) area of Surrey. This shooting was followed by a similar shooting in North Delta, the dominant Punjabi area of Delta that borders Surrey along Scott Road. Officers located one male with significant injuries as a result of the shooting. He has been transported to the hospital for treatment. Investigators called the North Delta shooting was a targeted shooting and appears to be related to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict and the injured person was the target. On Friday, a man arrived at a Surrey hospital with gunshot wounds and police said he isn’t expected to survive. Surrey RCMP said Friday that the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called out, after police were called to attend an area hospital for a report of a man suffering gunshot wounds. Due to the serious nature of his injuries, the 24-year-old man is not expected to survive.

SURREY/DELTA –There are shootings galore in the Surrey-Delta area with three recent shootings leading to serious injuries to the victim, some of whom are not expected to survive, according to police.

Surrey RCMP attended the aftermath of a shooting that happened Thursday in the District 1 (Whalley) area of Surrey.

At approximately 10:14 pm on Thursday, Nov. 3rd, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 92nd Avenue and King George Boulevard.  A male suffering from injuries was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in its early stages and police are still working to determine a possible motive.

This shooting was followed by a similar shooting in North Delta, the dominant Punjabi area of Delta that borders Surrey along Scott Road.

Shortly after 11:10 pm on November 3rd, 2022, Delta Police officers responded to a shooting in the 11700 block of 92A Avenue in North Delta. Officers located one male with significant injuries as a result of the shooting. He has been transported to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators called the North Delta shooting was a targeted shooting and appears to be related to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict and the injured person was the target. There is no ongoing threat to the general public from this incident.

The Delta Police are also working with the Surrey RCMP who have recovered a burned vehicle in the Bridgeview area that is suspected of being related to the shooting in Delta.
