SURREY – Police have arrested and charged one man in the double killing of a gangland style hit in South Surrey that left one South Asian man dead while another injured among the fatalities.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) said they have made an arrest in the homicides of Jordan Krishna and Robeen Soreni on July 30, 2022 in Surrey, with charges being laid in consultation with the BC Prosecution Service (BCPS).

On July 30th at 2:45 p.m., police received reports of a shooting at the South Surrey Athletic Park, located at 14600 20 Avenue, Surrey, BC.  Surrey Detachment first responders attended the location and found Jordan Krishna, Robeen Soreni and Harbir Khosa, all suffering from gunshot wounds, in what was believed to be a targeted incident.

“Mr. Krishna and Mr. Soreni died as a result of their injuries, while Mr. Khosa was treated for life-threatening injuries,” police said.

IHIT took conduct of the investigation and worked closely in partnership with the Surrey Detachment, BC Coroners Service, the RCMP Forensic Identification Section and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC).

On August 5, 2022, 25-year old Surrey resident Bryce Dallas Campbell was arrested in relation to the homicides.  Search warrants were obtained by IHIT investigators for multiple locations throughout the Lower Mainland, which resulted in evidence being recovered.

On August 22, 2022, two charges of second degree murder and one charge of attempted murder were laid against Campbell, who remained in custody following his arrest on August 5.

“This was a complex investigation that came together as a result of the dedication of IHIT’s investigating team and the strong partnerships with the Surrey Detachment, CFSEU BC and the public. We are aware of the public concern regarding the recent daytime shootings. We are grateful that no innocent bystanders were injured during the incident,” says Sergeant Timothy Pierotti of IHIT. “Though charges have been laid, the investigation continues and we still urge anyone with information to come forward.”

IHIT is asking that any witnesses or anyone with dash camera video who attended the area of the South Surrey Athletic Park between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on July 30, 2022 or anyone who has any information regarding the shooting, to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
