Newly elected BC Liberal Leader Kevin Falcon has kept interim leader Shirley Bond as Leader of the Official Opposition as he awaits a seat in the legislature, which will take months for a byelection to happen. “After speaking with the newly-elected Leader of the BC Liberal Party, Kevin Falcon, I am grateful to have been asked to remain in the role of Leader of the Official Opposition in the B.C. Legislature until Mr. Falcon has an opportunity to contest a seat that will lead to him officially taking his place as the Leader of the Official Opposition in the Legislature,” Bond said in a press release Monday.

VICTORIA – Newly elected BC Liberal Leader Kevin Falcon has kept interim leader Shirley Bond as Leader of the Official Opposition as he awaits a seat in the legislature, which will take months for a byelection to happen.

“After speaking with the newly-elected Leader of the BC Liberal Party, Kevin Falcon, I am grateful to have been asked to remain in the role of Leader of the Official Opposition in the B.C. Legislature until Mr. Falcon has an opportunity to contest a seat that will lead to him officially taking his place as the Leader of the Official Opposition in the Legislature,” Bond said in a press release Monday.
