The current pandemic has caused hardships for many charities such as the Children’s Hospital which relied heavily on public donations. The Miracle Weekend Telethon was put on hold for the second year in a row. However, many groups have found ways to continue the good work for charities. One of those is the ILWU 502 (International Longshore and Warehouse Union) who just donated $56,502 to the hospital. There are many people with big hearts in this Union such as Alamjit Singh Sidhu who alone donated $13,502 resulting in an eleven-year total of $415,793. Local 502 serves Fraser Surrey Docks, Deltaport, Car terminals, Westshore coal terminal, Warehouse and planning divisions.
