Violence continued to rear its ugly head in Surrey following weekend stabbing and shooting that left two injured but a shooting on Tuesday in the Guildford area left the victim dead and another injured. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with the Surrey RCMP. Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase, however initial information suggests that this was a targeted incident with ties to the BC Gang Conflict.

SURREY – Violence continued to rear its ugly head in Surrey following weekend stabbing and shooting that left two injured but a shooting on Tuesday in the Guildford area left the victim dead and another injured.
Surrey RCMP said it is working with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) following a shooting in Surrey that has left one man injured and another deceased.
On May 2 at approximately 8:00 p.m., Surrey RCMP received a report of a shooting in a parking lot located in the 14800-block of 108 Avenue. Upon attendance, police located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to hospital, one has since succumbed to his injuries and the other sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

A possible suspect vehicle was located a short time later in Langley, with indications that an attempt was made to light it on fire.
