SURREY – On behalf of the Steering Committee for the Dr. Ambedkar International Symposium on Emancipation, one of the symposium organizers and founder of Chetna Association Jai Birdi met Jagrup Brar, Minister of State for Trade and presented appreciation award for his support to the symposium hosted in April 2023.  

The meeting was to follow up on the recommendations of the symposium to explore pathways for enhancing diversity in trade between BC and India.  

Minister Brar and CEO Anita Huberman (Surrey Board of Trade) are both very open and receptive to hosting a dialogue.  Plans are being developed to host a session to further explore entrepreneurship as a pathway for emancipation.
