Burnaby RCMP is asking for information that led to the killing of a teen Thursday morning after an altercation. On June 29 at 7:05 a.m., the Burnaby RCMP received a report of an incident at a residence in the 7600-block of 17 Avenue, Burnaby. Upon attendance, members located a 19-year old man, associated to the residence suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite the best efforts of the first responders, the victim succumbed to his injuries on scene. A second victim was located with non-life-threatening injuries. IHIT is now identifying the victim as 19-year old Ryan Nagy of Burnaby, in hopes of advancing its investigation.

BURNABY – Burnaby RCMP is asking for information that led to the killing of a teen Thursday morning after an altercation.
On June 29 at 7:05 a.m., the Burnaby RCMP received a report of an incident at a residence in the 7600-block of 17 Avenue, Burnaby. Upon attendance, members located a 19-year old man, associated to the residence suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite the best efforts of the first responders, the victim succumbed to his injuries on scene. A second victim was located with non-life-threatening injuries.
Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took conduct of the investigation and has continued to work closely in partnership with the Burnaby RCMP Detachment, BC Coroners Service and the Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS).
IHIT is now identifying the victim as 19-year old Ryan Nagy of Burnaby, in hopes of advancing its investigation.
“We believe this was a targeted incident,” says Sgt. Pierotti of IHIT. “We’re asking that anyone who had recent contact with Mr. Nagy, to contact IHIT immediately, as we build a timeline of events leading up to this tragedy.”
