SURREY – While police seem to be asleep at the switch, the extortion shootings continue like an unstoppable menace with the latest being a Cloverdale house that was shot up a second time on Sunday in two weeks.
Surrey Police Service (SPS) and RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) are investigating an overnight shooting at a residence in the Cloverdale neighbourhood.
At approximately 2:20 am on January 11, RCMP SPOSU members responded to reports of a shooting in the 18700 block of 54 Avenue, Surrey. Upon arrival, police located a home that had been damaged. Fortunately, nobody was injured as a result of the incident.
This residence was previously targeted on December 31,2025 and it appears that this incident is related to the ongoing series of extortions in Surrey.
RCMP SPOSU General Investigation Unit (GIU) said they attended and has taken conduct of the investigation. The investigation is in its early stages and investigators are continuing to gather evidence at this time.
